To convert the Column chart to Variwide Column chart or to convert Bar chart to Variwide Bar chart.
Variwide chart can be used to visualize a second dimension in a column chart. Each data point is given a weight, in addition to its value, determining the width of the column. It computes the width for the stack to fill the whole plot area, and simply lets the column widths reflect a value.
The column and bar charts can be converted to Variwide charts. To enable the variwide chart, you need to enable the Dynamic Width(metric_name). Ways to apply Variwide chart: Apply Vitara Column/ Bar chart and go to property editor Open Column/ Bar property Enable the Dynamic Width(metric name)
Below is the Variwide column chart where the Y-Axis represents the cost of the categories, while the column width is proportional to the categories.
Below is the Variwide Bar chart where the X-Axis represents the cost of the categories, while the column width is proportional to the categories.
In Variwide chart, the axis which represents categories will change according to the width for the stack to fill the whole plot area. The percentage of elements is calculated according to the [(value of datapoint/sum of all values of that metric) * 100]. Below is the screenshot that how the percentage of profit is calculated in the variwide chart.
